3D Laser Tracking To Measure Proper Dimensions

Tech No Comment

The probability of people getting sidetracked with their work is something that is of a norm. For those that are into measurements, getting it correct the first time is a massive gain; they do not need to change things frequently. However, one of the probable causes when it comes to problems with work is that the proper dimensions are not taken into account. In order to ensure that this does not become a norm for the workplace, everyone should go for the use of 3D Laser Tracking.

Services such as 3D Laser Tracking may seem to be extravagant and in most cases, they may be bordering on that as well. However, one of the good things to be said about 3D Laser Tracking is also the fact that it does live up to its name. In case you do find any kind of problems with the dimensions in your work, appropriate measures can be taken with the help of proper tracking measures.

However, one of the things holding back the use of the 3D Laser Tracking is the prohibitive cost of such a product. When you look at purchasing them, you also have to be able to spend a small fortune on them. When it concerns industrial work, going for the plain laser levels will not do. You need industrial size 3D Laser Tracking that will be able to tackle the big machines.

Moreover, you also need a certified technician that can get the job done and provide you with the appropriate measurements that can be good enough for your work to resume. In the advent of the new 3D Laser Tracking products in the market, it is not the right time to be skimping on those products. Rather, you have to make sure that you do not end up creating a big problem in your workplace by not going for such accurate readings.

Our optical systems and 3d skanneri allow dimensional, thread, form, and position measurements.

Whatever seems to be the primary point of inflection in your company, it is important that you trust on the tracking machines that can get the job done for you. As much as one would like to say, the basic essence of the 3D Laser Tracking has always been to lend a helping hand to the industry by ensuring that it up to the mark in terms of accuracy. So, to provide it with the impetus of doing so, the time has come for you to understand the basic tenements of the 3D Laser Tracking and use it wisely.

Who knows, but the quality of the product may be off simply due to not getting properly synchronized. With 3D Laser Tracking, all those small niggles can be taken care of.

How to Review a Document Objectively?

Tech No Comment

Review metrics can not only help a document reviewer review a document objectively but also enable a writer identify strengths and weaknesses.

The task of document review often invites a lot of scorn, especially from the creators of the document. Document review comments, document creators believe, can often be subjective, irrelevant and can lead to repetitive iterations and consequently, assignments can be delayed. While subjective review comments are unavoidable (in fact, they are desirable), there is definitely an opportunity to set up a comprehensive document review mechanism which will not only result in a relatively more objective review of a specific document, but also will enable the content developer or writer to continuously improve document quality.

What is document scanning and how to do it properly?

What is the solution then?

Numbers can be highly effective document review tools which enable the reviewer to measure the document quality. The main advantages with using numbers during a document review process are:

  • Numbers reduce ambiguous document review feedback. For example, a reviewer cannot just comment that that the writer or content developer needs to improve written English.
  • Numbers are great tools that enable the writers to objectively identify strengths and weaknesses, based on document review feedback. For example, a writer can clearly identify, in numerical terms, the categories of mistakes in the document.
  • Numbers enable writers or reviewers to set objective goals or improvement parameters. For example, a writer can endeavor to reduce the number of grammatical mistakes from 15 in the current document to 5 in the next assignment.
  • Last but not the least, numbers enable the document reviewer to review document objectively. The reviewer can register the number of grammatical, spelling, sentence construction and other errors in a document feedback form and share the form with the writer.

How can the solution be implemented?

There is no standard document review formula across organizations in the world. The document review mechanism can therefore be tailored based on the existing review mechanism of an organization. Generally, however, the following steps are helpful in setting up a practice for objectively reviewing a document :

  1. Take a spreadsheet before beginning the document review process.
  2. Create columns on the spreadsheet. The columns would be named Document Name, Writer Name, Reviewer Name, Total Pages Reviewed, Spelling Errors, Grammatical Errors, Sentence Construction, Deviation from Accepted Styles and Standards, Wrong Information and so on. An organization can also have different column names, depending on their situation.
  3. Start reviewing the document. Keep the spreadsheet open during the document review process.
  4. Insert comments for every error in the document or suggestion offered. Do not attempt to use track changes feature on the Microsoft Word program. Note that every comment has a number.
  5. Register every comment under their respective column in the spreadsheet. For example, record spelling errors and instances deviation from style guide under the Spelling Errors and Deviation from Accepted Styles and Standards columns respectively. Do not forget to indicate the comment number for every detected error or suggestion offered.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 4 till the document review is complete.
  7. Count the total number of comments for each column. Typically, the column with the highest number of comments is deemed to be a weak area for the writer while the area with least comments is deemed to be a strong area.
